Slow Cooked Sunday Chicken:
Preparation Time: Approx. 15 minutes

- 2 small carrot(s)
- 1/2 medium onion(s, chopped
- 1/2 celery rib(s) (cut into 2-inch pieces)
- 1 cup(s) Fresh green beans
- 2 small potato(es), halved
- 2 bone-in chicken chicken breast halves (7 ounces each), skin removed
- 2 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
- 3/4 cup(s) hot water
- 1 tsp(s) salt
- 1/4 tsp(s) dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp(s) dried basil
- 1 pinch pepper
Cook Time: Approx. 6 hours
- In a 3-qt. slow cooker, layer the first seven ingredients in the order listed. Combine the water, bouillon, salt, thyme, basil and pepper; pour over the top. Do not stir.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until vegetables are tender and meat thermometer reads 170°. Remove chicken and vegetables. Thicken cooking juices for gravy if desired. Yield: 2 servings.
