Crockpot Chili

  • Materials:

  • Large frying-pan
  • 3 Quart Crock Pot

  • Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp(s) olive oil
  • 4 tbsp(s) chili powder
  • 1 cup(s) onion(s)
  • 1 cup(s) chopped pepper(s)
  • 1 lb(s) ground beef or chicken
  • 2 can(s) red beans
  • 2 can(s) tomato puree

  • Optional Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp(s) hot chili powder
  • 1 cup(s) shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Cook Time: Approx. 6 hours

  1. Heat olive oil in frying-pan
  2. Sautee Onions for 5 minutes
  3. Add spices and stir for 30 seconds
  4. Add meat and cook until browned. Approximately 15 minutes.
  5. Pour contents of skillet into 3 quart crock pot.
  6. Rinse beans and place in crockpot.
  7. Open and pour Tomato puree and sauce into crock pot.
  8. Cover crockpot and cook on low for 6 hours.
  9. Serve into individual bowls and top with sour cream and cheese.
